Pogo Organics is a division of Pogo Tree Experts, owned by Pogo Sherwood, operating from Olney, MD since 1979.

Pogo Organics was simply a natural evolution for Pogo's business and beliefs. Through his tree service business, Pogo was inspired by concern for conservation and his community, to recycle the materials from his tree removal service rather than sending it all to a landfill. Then returning it all to the community in the form of organic materials that are useful to people.

Expanding Pogo's delight in turning "trash into treasure", lanscapers and contractors soon learned that Pogo's 180 acre facility was a great solution for them to locally dispose of their grass clippings, old mulch and brush, increasing the diversity of recycled products Pogo could create and make available to others.

Through Pogo's vast recycling and earth sustaining efforts, he has been supplying contractors with organic mulch, compost, top soil, leafgro, wood chips, and beneficial microorganisms, in bulk quantities, for years. Finally, some of these very same products are available in packaging for individual consumers too!
