Pogo Organics is a division of Pogo Tree Experts, owned by Pogo Sherwood, operating from Olney, MD since 1979.

Pogo Organics was simply a natural evolution for Pogo's business and beliefs. Through his tree service business, Pogo was inspired by concern for conservation and his community to recycle the arbor care and landscaping debris, rather than sending it all to a landfill. Then returning it all to the community in the form of organic materials that are useful to people.

Expanding Pogo's delight in turning "trash into treasure", landscapers and contractors soon learned that Pogo's 180 acre facility was a great solution for them to locally dispose of their grass clippings, old mulch and brush, increasing the diversity of recycled products Pogo could create and make available to others.

Through Pogo's vast recycling and earth sustaining efforts, he has been supplying contractors with organic mulch, compost, topsoil, leaf mulch, wood chips and powdered beneficial microorganisms in bulk quantities, for years. Finally, some of these very same products are available in packaging for individual consumers too!
